Iulia Calugar

Following my graduation from Medicine, I began my career as a medical resident specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), driven by a strong interest in psychological research, particularly in neurodevelopmental disorders. 

My interest lies in integrating multidisciplinary approaches to neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents with clinical practice. I am currently enrolled in a joint PhD program offered by VUB and UBB under the coordination of Prof. Guy Nagels and Prof. Anca Dobrean. My doctoral research focuses on investigating ADHD from an electrophysiological perspective, aiming to identify specific biomarkers that could facilitate diagnosis and improve treatment response in children and adolescents, ultimately advancing our understanding of this condition.
