Mathieu Grognard
PhD students
Biography
Mathieu submitted his master’s thesis at AIMS and graduated with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research in Jette, where he investigated the differential effects of transcranial alternating current stimulation on oligodendrogenesis and cognitive decline in the acute cuprizone demyelination model of multiple sclerosis in mice. As he remains highly interested in the use of transcranial brain stimulation, Mathieu began his PhD at AIMS, focusing on further elucidating the cellular changes and signaling pathways involved in oligodendrogenesis through which tACS can influence myelin repair and behavior in the cuprizone model.
