Wang Xinguang

During my undergraduate studies in Information Systems and Information Management at the Shanghai Institute of Technology, I acquired computer skills and developed an interest in aging related research.

After being admitted as a graduate student majoring in Computer Application Technology at Jiamusi University, I was recommended by my graduate supervisor to have a summer study opportunity at Hangzhou Brain Sea Technology Company. This allowed me to gain further understanding of neuroscience and decided to conduct my research in the interdisciplinary field of neuroaging science and artificial intelligence. During my pursuit of a master's degree, I trained my ability to improve and design machine learning algorithms, and applied this ability to develop state-of-the-art and high-performance brain age prediction models.

Under the sponsorship of the CSC-VUB scholarship, I will be pursuing a medical doctorate at VUB starting from December, focusing on developing state-of-the-art federated learning algorithms to further improve the performance of brain age prediction models and ensure patient privacy.
